The Virginia Peninsula Foodbank is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors.

 

Each visitor’s domain name is automatically recognized by our web server, but does not automatically collect personally identifiable information. There are times, however, such as when you make a donation, sign up to volunteer or register for our email list, that we will collect specific information. If you choose to provide personally identifiable data, you may receive future information from us–by mail or electronically –advising you of upcoming Virginia Peninsula Foodbank events, services, or volunteer and support opportunities. The Virginia Peninsula Foodbank will not trade, share or sell a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.

 

In addition, donor information, which including address, phone, and email, collected through offline channels by Virginia Peninsula Foodbank is not traded, shared, rented or sold to any other organizations. Donor information provided to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank will only be used by the Food Bank for purposes of furthering our mission.

 

Credit Card Information

It is our desire to ensure complete security while transferring potentially sensitive and private information from your web browser to us therefore we have contracted the services of a credit card processing partner to process credit card donations submitted on-line. All information is transferred across a secure server that encrypts your information so that it is safely transmitted via web. Your credit card information will not be released to any other party other than the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank and our third party partner.

 

Opt-Out Use of Personal Information

If you do not wish to grant the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank the right to use your personal information as described, please send an email to info@hrfoodbank.org, or call 757-596-7188. Upon receipt of your request to opt-out, the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank will remove your information from any future communications and all other uses set forth in the above sections.
