DESCRIPTION:The Martin Luther King\, Jr. (MLK) holiday is observed nationally as a day of service in celebration of the civil rights leader’s life and legacy. In honor of MLK Day of Service\, Sheriff Gabe Morgan is continuing the annual MLK Day of Service Food Drive to provide essential support to residents on the Peninsula. On Monday\, January 16\, Sheriff Gabe Morgan will host the annual food/fund drive at the Foodbank\, 2401 Aluminum Avenue\, Hampton. The community is invited to drop off monetary and/or non-perishable food donations between 9am and 1pm. Giving has never been so easy. Drive through and drop off your donations without having to get out of your car. \nYour contributions will strengthen our community by continuing to help others in need. For every dollar donated\, Virginia Peninsula Foodbank can provide three healthy meals to our community members in need.
