SUMMARY:106.9 The Fox & FM99 Mayflower Marathon Holiday Food & Fund Drive
DESCRIPTION:Fill the Holidays with Hope & Nourishment\n  \nThis holiday season\, join 106.9 The Fox and FM99 for the 29th Annual Mayflower Marathon Holiday Food and Fund Drive\, presented by Bud’s Plumbing\, Heating\, Air Conditioning and Electric and hosted by Kroger at Coliseum Central. Together\, we can bring joy\, nourishment\, and hope to families across the greater Virginia Peninsula. \nThe event benefits Virginia Peninsula Foodbank and takes place November 21–23\, 2025. \nThe Mayflower Marathon is our largest holiday food drive\, helping to provide thousands of meals for local children\, families\, seniors\, and veterans experiencing food insecurity. \nWith the rising cost of living and the increasing price of food\, many of our neighbors are facing new financial challenges. Food often takes the backburner when budgets are stretched thin and difficult choices must be made about rent\, utilities\, or medication. Your generosity helps ensure no one has to go without nourishment this holiday season. \nIt’s not always easy to ask for help\, but it’s easy to give. This 57½-hour drive-through food collection makes donating simple. Just pull up\, pop your trunk\, and volunteers will unload your donations for you. \n\nHow To Give\nDonate Food: \nYour contributions of nonperishable items are essential.
